Our faith tradition is based on a life-transforming story. The story we embrace is both ancient and timely. It’s a story of a powerful and patient God who has boundless love for all people, who brings justice for the oppressed. It’s a story of Jesus Christ, changing lives. It’s both a personal story, and a story that brings comfort and strength to people across the world who today live in often unsettling times.
As Lutheran Christians, we regard Jesus Christ to be the perfect Son of God, the means and hope of our salvation. We receive God's Word as the inspired truth, norm and guide for our lives. We profess the ancient creeds of the Church: The Apostles' Creed, The Nicean Creed, and The Athanasian Creed. And we believe the rich and full promises God gives through Holy Baptism: the promise of forgiveness, salvation and eternal life. Finally, we believe in the power and possibilities as God's imperfect people gather and work together to be the Church, working, worshiping and serving together in the name of Jesus Christ.
